In my childhood, my parents used to let me try what I am interested in, and supported my curiosity about pets, food, but also fairy tales of the whole world and classical music.

As such, I began to learn music when I was 7, and won several piano competitions, both local and national. I have also followed piano courses with teachers of the Tchaikovsky Conservatoire of Moscow. I must say that all my piano teachers came from the russian piano school.

One of my other favourite hobbies is to prepare tasty dishes inspired from my readings. If you want to eat some indian dishes, just send me a book about India, the Moghuls, and so on..., and come one week after to enjoy yourself! I use to test numerous asian dishes , from Malaysia, China,...

Now, I spend most of my free time reading books , watching documentaries. I like a very large variety of books, from classical literature to science fiction, going through books of Tom Clancy, Arturo Perez-Reverte, Robin Cook, without forgotten biographies and essays...and professional literature, of course! However, I prefer to read french as my english vocabulary is mostly "technical".

As I like poetical atmosphere and mystery, but also friendship, I love cats , and they love me too. Three of them are my day-to-day companions. It would be more realistic to say "night-to-night" companions as they can go wherever they like when I am working! They are, from youngest to oldest : Minus Virus, the squatter (6 months old), Black Bear (7 months old) and Katha (2.5 years old). The prefered, Sailor (4 years old) died in May, poisoned in the fields.

Very young, I used to travel with my parents, first in France and then in Europe, and overseas. I went in England, in Italy and Sardinia, in Germany, and also in late URSS and in the French overseas departments like La Guadeloupe and La Reunion, .. .to settle, eventually, in the Republic of Mauritius . For instance, trips -long ones-, are not possible but I hope that this won't last long.
