I have always lived with cats around me, since I was a child. But it was only when I was 16 that a cat chose me and decided to live with me, ... and only with me! For everyone else, this cat was wild, and never let someone touch her. Her name was "Mochi".
I was obliged to let it to my parents when I left home for further studies after my Baccalaureat, and she died at 12, while I was already in Mauritius.

As a house is never really a "sweet home" without cats inside, I decided to find at least one cat to adopt as soon as I could have an accomodation. And this time, I was selected by a newly born kitten, and his sister!!!
So I brought these two ruffians at home : they were Sailor and Lula.
Unhappily, Lula was hurt by a car 2 years later.

In 1998, I moved to my actual house, and I adopted successively four other cats, Lula II, Katha, Pop's, ...,
Black Bear, as soon as one of them died in the nearby fields.
I live in an agricultural area and pesticides and rat poison are dangerous...
Now, I have three cats. Minus Virus, decided to live here, and was accepted by the two females, Katha and Black Bear.

All of them have been sterilized.Of course, having pets is not always easy to manage : what to do when I want to travel abroad? So, they are fed by a child of our neighbours, twice a day.
On the other hand, two of them are very good hunters and are able to catch mices, but also butterfly, lizards, birds and rats but this increases the risk of poisoning them.

Cats are also a problem for some friends of mine who suffer from asthma.
